Member Service Representative

Salary:  From $21 an hour
Job type:  Full-time Permanent
Shift & schedule:  8 hour shift

Revelstoke Credit Union is excited to announce we are looking for an energetic, motivated individual to work on our front line as a Member Service Representative. This role is an entry-level position in a highly visible Member service-oriented organization. This job will be attractive to people looking for a career or interested in Finance. The skills and desire to provide excellent service are essential.

The Part-time Casual role is for coverage of sick days/holidays and any ongoing projects. We would love to offer this position to someone who values Revelstoke as a community and looking for a flexible schedule. Shift lengths may vary.

Key Areas of Accountability:

  • Respond to member requests, delivering fast and efficient service, assisting with transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, cheque cashing/ordering, bill payments, money orders and transfers, and foreign currency exchanges.
  • Resolve problems at the first point of contact where possible and refer more complex situations to senior employees.
  • Adhere to compliance routines in carrying out transactions.

Qualifications:

  • Secondary School Diploma
  • 0 – 1 year experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to applying relevant and applicable policies, procedures in the day-to-day performance of the functions of this position
  • Member service orientation, driven to help members meet needs or resolve problems
  • Team player, driven to ensure that the whole RCU team is successful in meeting member needs
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development
  • Industry experience in financial services, retail, hospitality, etc. is an asset
  • Must be available to work all shifts including Tue-Friday 8:30 - 5:15, and Saturday 8:45 am-1:15 pm. (Part-time Casual will vary)

RCU Insurance Services Ltd.

ICBC Representative

RCU Insurance Services is excited to announce we are looking for energetic, motivated individuals to work as an Insurance Service Representative. This role processes basic insurance transactions and auto policies, must be willing to obtain Level I Licensing and operates under the supervision of a Level II or III broker. The skills and desire to provide excellent service are essential.

Key Areas of Accountability:

  • Processes auto and basic insurance transactions under the supervision of a more senior licensed broker.
  • Identifies client needs and provides information on basic insurance products such as risk coverage, benefits and other policy features best suited to meet the client's needs; works with clients to manage and reduce their risk.
  • Implements client’s insurance coverage, premiums and collects payment; promotes Revelstoke Credit Union products.

Qualifications:

  • Secondary School Diploma
  • Must be willing to obtain your Level I License and ICBC Autoplan
  • 0 – 3 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to applying relevant and applicable policies, procedures in the day-to-day performance of the functions of this position
  • Customer service orientation, driven to help customers meet needs or resolve problems
  • Team player, driven to ensure that the whole team is successful in meeting customer needs
  • Strong organizational, time management and communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development and ability to learn new skills and adapt to change
