2017 RCU FAMILY Fun Run

There will be NO entry fee this year

Waiver Information 

Anyone participating in any of the folowing three races, must complete a waiver

2 KM  Children's Race:  This will take place entirely at Queen Elizabeth Park, consisting of two laps around it.

5 KM Fun Run:  this route is available for those who would rather enjoy a short walk. 

10 KM Fun Run:


1. You must complete and sign a waiver if you wish to participate as a walking participant.  Download the waiver and bring it with you to the fun run.  Don't worry if you forget, we'll have lots there to sign; so come a little early to avoid the last minute rush.



Race Info


2017 Race will take place on Sunday May 7th. 
Race begins at 9:30 am; registration tables are open at 8:30am

Location (Start /Finish)

Queen Elizabeth Park on 9thSt. East, in front of the Hospice Tree and flagpole.

Water stations

Water will be located at the registration tables, on the greenbelt trail near the skatepark,  and halfway point of the 10km course.


First place finishers in twelve categories will win cash prizes.

In the 10km race,  there will be a winner for boys 19 and under and one for girls 19 and under.  There will be winners in categories for both men and women in two categories, 20 to 60, and 60 and over.

In the 5km race, there will be a winner for boys 12 and under and one for girls 12 and under, plus, there will be winners in categories for  men and women, 13 - 19 , 20-60 and 60 and over.
*categories are currently subject to change until April 1st.


We respectfully request that no dogs be present during or after the run.  Also, as this event is meant to be enjoyed on foot, no Bikes, Skateboards, Roller Blades, etc. are allowed on the course.  Strollers are permitted.

Please also be respectful of the environment and do not litter along the race course.  Refuse may be dropped at the water stations or at Queen Elizabeth Park.
